Tameka Harris Hajali
Secretary
Tameka is a California native but considers herself a Global citizen and Humanitarian at heart. Through the years she has volunteered both locally and abroad in various non-profit organizations.
Tameka lived and worked in Cairo, Egypt with Habitat for Humanity Int’l serving as Global Village Coordinator. In her role she assisted with grant proposals and served as liaison between the Egyptian national office and its international partners. She recalls, “It was extremely rewarding to work side by side with corporate donors, international volunteer groups, students and other organizations on Habitat build projects where they could witness firsthand the impact of their physical and financial support towards improving the lives of Egypt’s most underserved communities.” Tameka strongly believes that partnership with local NGOs, fostering leadership and self-reliance within RefuCare served communities is key to the longevity and sustainability of its programs.
Tameka holds a B.S. degree in Finance and International Business and has had a rewarding career for over 10 years working in Corporate Finance, Global Operations and Project Management. In her free time, Tameka loves to travel, learn different languages, and spending time with her family.
